Holidays throughout the year -
26th-29th April Traditional Stumpwork Berries - Stumpork is a modern interpretation of Raised embroidery which originated in the 17th century. Nicola will guide you through this hugely fascinating and rewarding form of embroidery which features raised, wired and padded techniques. Choose from Summer or Autumn Berries - either way good enough to eat!
20th - 24th June Miniature Patchwork - Discover Patchwork on a small scale. Have fun creating a mini landscape in patchwork using my designs or the fabulous view from Cober Hill. Create a quilt for a dolls House or transform your miniature patchwork into a book cover or scissors case.
8th - 11th July -Modern Wacky Stumpwork - This course brings the modern fun and somewhat wacky skant to the fascinating stumpwork form of embroidery. A variety of designs including 'Two fat Ladies', A day at the Seaside or your own design - either way it promises to be a fun filled weekend.
17th - 23rd July - Hand Embroidery Medley - Try a variety of techniques, including enbroidery with silk ribbon, beads and various threads. Nicola and kath will show you effective use of stitches. turn your completed work into a box, picture frame, book cover, cushion etc.
20th - 26th August - Patchwork and Quilting - Try a variety of projects including throws, cushions, lampshades, book covers and more! Kath and Nicola will guide you through a variety of techniques with lots of tips and expert tuition. Ideal for beginners and the more experiences alike. hand or machine stitching depending on the choice of subject. (We can supply machines).
19th - 23rd September - Dabble week - A great opportunity to try a variety of crafts including patchwork and embroidery. Also have fun experimenting with all those 'arty' products that you've heard about, or bought, and don't know what to do with... great fun!
14th - 18th November - Crafts for Christmas - Come along and get ready for christmas.. A variety of projects to choose from including a table runner, fabric covered boxes, jester gift bags, book covers, cushions and much more. A really fun and relaxing week.

Rural Arts Centre Thirsk
For those who have difficulty getting to us - we are coming to you! We have arranged several sessions at the Rural Arts Centre in Thirsk. A fabulous venue with plenty of room and light and just as important a coffee shop! Dates include:
Tuesdays 3rd May, 14th June, 12th July, 16th August, 13th September, 11th October. 9.30am to 12.30 and/or 1.30pm to 4.30pm. Book for as many sessions as you want.
Projects will cover patchwork and embroidery and will be suitable for beginners and experienced stitchers and you can stay for the whole day and change topics at lunch time f you wish!
