There will be a different subject on offer during each class if you want to learn a different technique such as embroidered book covers, stumpwork dragonfles, bees and flowers etc or you can choose to work on a project of your own choice.

Have fun and learn how to free motion machine quilt - try your hand at 'stippling' and practice a variety of quilting techniques. Pick up tips and design ideas from Nicola and gain the confidence to quilt all those unfinished quilt tops lurking in the cuboards!
Let Nicola show you how to make a gorgeous tassel. Cover a wooden forma, wire a skirt and make a suspension cord and then assemble to make your finished tassel.
Embroider using lovely Silk and Ombre' ribbons, threads and beads. Simple but effective use of stitches to give a really proffesional finish. Nicola will gibe you plenty of inspiration and tips.
Why not go on to join Kath on her Box making workshop on Tuesday 26th July - your embroidery would be ideal to adorn a box top!
Using nothing more than a simple 'running' stitch, Nicola will show you how to create lovely flowers and leaves using a variety of beautiful shaded ribbons.
Then learn how to make a lovely rayon tassel, add a filigree tube and decorate with your ribbonwork flowers to finish.
These workshops are suitable for all abilities of stitchers

For those who have wanted to try out patchwork or embroidery but are not sure where to start this is an ideal opportunity to try different techniques. We have several (oh alright loads) of books for you to browse through for ideas or bring your own project. Help, coffee and biscuits will be on hand each day as well as the chance to be with like minded people who will inspire each other. You may even decide to swap topics during the week.
