Regular workshops for those new to or those wishing to expand on existing skills. Bring your own projects or choose from one of several designs on offer eg dragonflies, bees, flowers, sheep, autumn berries etc. Book one or more days to suit. |

On this 3 day course you can choose to work a traditional 'Tree of Life' design which is suitable for those wishing to develop their skills in Crewel Embroidery. Beginners will be given the option of working an individual Jacobean flower if they prefer. Use of colour within a design and a range of traditional stitches will be taught. |

Prepare yourselves for spring and brighten up your home after the winter with a patchwork stained glass flower. You can design your own favourite or choose from tulip, snowdrop, pansy or daffoldil. As well as learning to design your own you will also use quick bias. Kath will also show you how to make your own bias and quick bias if you want to use your own fabrics. |

If you like working in a small scale, have limited space, want to make dolls house quilts or just like a challenge then this is one for you. Take any patchwork pattern reduce it to i/12th scale and you have a miniature.. Try your hand at traditional hand quilted whole cloths but in miniature. Use cotton patchwork fabrics or even silk – you won’t need much fabric for these quilts!. Come along to this workshop and have fun. |

Learn how to make this lovely Heirloom Sampler Quilt during this 6 session course. You will complete a variety of ‘blocks’, each teaching you a different technique and design before quilting and finishing your quilt. Ideal for beginners or improvers - different blocks available for different skill levels. If you completed the beginners course in 2010 then you can move to the next level in this course. |

This quilt is made up of blocks which are hand appliquéd in a colour scheme of your choice. You can make a quilt any size you wish – intersperse the appliquéd blocks with traditional quilted blocks, add an appliquéd border and create your own family heirloom. With kind permission of Rosemary Makhan - a copy of her book is included in the price of the course and gives you a choice of twenty different designs to choose from. This is suitable for beginners and experienced stitchers. |
Ribbonwork Flowers with Nicola

Using nothing more than a simple ‘running’ stitch, Nicola will show you how to create lovely flowers and leaves using a variety of ribbons. Create an arrangement to adorn a wooden heart and finish it with lace and beads ready to hang. Ideal as a christmas gift or room decoration. |

Have you seen Jelly Rolls and wondered what they are about and what to do with them, well now's your chance to make a quilt using your choice of jelly roll to make this 'quick block' quilt. Jelly rolls are a wonderful economic way of having a full range of fabric to work with and gives you a wonderful scrappy feel to a quilt which you may not attempt if you had to buy so many different fabrics seperately. Why not look for a bright summery jelly to lift the mood. |

Use up scraps of fabric or some of those fat quarters you have been wondering what to do with. This is also a good way of discovering all those fancy stitches on your sewing machine. A time to play. You can also learn to make mitred corners on your cushion if you wish. No previous experience required. Hand or machine. |
Kimono Quilt or Wall hanging with Kath

This is based on a quilt pattern that Kath did at a workshop a few years ago. We now have permission from Sue Propst to teach her version with a variation added by Kath. This is an ideal quilt for using all those fabulous Japanese fabrics you couldn’t resist but then didn’t know what to do with. This is machine piecing and you will do a different version on each of the two days. You can stop there or make as many blocks to make a wall hanging or a full size quilt as you want. |

Another fabulous weekend with Pat! Hear about an exciting journey through the lush palm fringed forests of Goa and on up to the desert regions of Rajasthan. Learn the traditional block printing techniques of Rajastan and then work on your own panel embellished with gold, beads and sequins. |
